  #undefine WITH_THREADS
at the beginning.

the parallelization is implemented using the script
   scripts/generic/extract-parallel.perl
that spawn multiple extract-rule

I can see that a thread pool is started, despite the fact that threads
defaults to 1, this triggers a thread according to GDB. GDB also
