Hi, More concrete question this time. I use mert-moses.pl and I would like to specify ranges for the weight optimization:
/home/moses/tools/moses-scripts/scripts-20110819-1411/training/mert-moses.pl --mertdir=/home/moses/tools/moses/mert/ \ --range=d:0.1..1.5 --range=lm:0.2..1.5 --range=tm:0.1..0.75,0.1..0.75,0.1..0.75,0.1..0.75,-0.1..0.75 \ $DEV/dev.sr $DEV/dev.sl /home/moses/tools/moses/moses-cmd/src/moses test1/model/moses.ini Running mert-moses.pl, it prints out: MERT starting values and ranges for random generation: d = 0.600 ( 0.10 .. 1.50) lm = 0.500 ( 0.20 .. 1.50) w = -1.000 ( 0.00 .. 1.00) tm = 0.200 ( 0.10 .. 0.75) tm = 0.200 ( 0.10 .. 0.75) tm = 0.200 ( 0.10 .. 0.75) tm = 0.200 ( 0.10 .. 0.75) tm = 0.200 (-0.10 .. 0.75) But weights in weights.txt at the end are out of range: 0.000387596 0.000431964 3.2986e-05 9.47384e-05 0.000141188 0.000806682 7.7568e-06 -0.998097 Why? Can, you, please, explain.
