hi guys
The code for v.1 was branched from the master at the point where I
thought most of the bugs I know about had been fixed. As Tom found, it
was on the 9th Jan, just after commit '....cca8fc'.
It was then tested on various OSes and fullscale experiments which took
about 2 weeks. No show-stopping bugs were found, so that became v.1.
Yep, the v.1 branch won't be updated unless some critical bugs are
found. They should still go into master, but I'll pull it into v.1 if
needed. I don't forsee doing this very often, if at all.
I'll bear in mind your suggestion for release notes for v.2.

Thanks, Tomas. I was wondering the same thing.
I browsed the two git branches. It looks like "master" and
"RELEASE-1.0" branches were merged on 7 Jan. So, can we assume they
were identical as of that commit? Afterwards, there were 5 commits
through "Fix state comparison (impacted 32-bit)
on 9 Jan, which looks like the two branches maintained parallel
updates. All commits subsequent to this one have been applied to
"master" only.
Can someone confirm or clarify if the two branches are identical as of
the 1530ae4f5ff59cfd30f6f933e4dc05ea89cca8fc "master" commit and the
1530ae4f5ff59cfd30f6f933e4dc05ea89cca8fc "RELEASE-1.0" commit?
Moving forward, it looks like research/dev updates will be applied to
"master" as usual, and "RELEASE-1.0" will only receive critical
bugfixes. Is that the plan?
By the way, the readme-notes.pdf is great with lots of good
information. It includes a description of diffs since May 2012. In
future releases, it would be helpful if the readme includes two list
of updates. One diff since "RELEASE-1.0" and another diff between the
release and "master" if any.

Hi there,
What is the relationship between released Moses v 1.0 and standard
source codes accessible through
https://github.com/moses-smt/mosesdecoder ?
Is v 1.0 built on newest source codes available from 28.1., or is it
built on some older but stable sources?
I was sniffing around but couldn't find any info about how the
release was produced.
If I took look at
https://github.com/moses-smt/mosesdecoder/tree/RELEASE-1.0
<https://github.com/moses-smt/mosesdecoder/tree/RELEASE-1.0>
It seems v 1.0 is created on older but stable sources -- correct?
Is there any "Changelog" what was changed/updated since v 1.0?
Thanks!
