Dear all:

[Please disseminate to undergraduate students interested in machine
translation]

For the fifth year in a row, the free/open-source rule-based machine
translation project Apertium has been selected as one of the
organizations participating in the Google Summer of Code.

Undergrads all over the world can request one of the US$ 5,000
scholarships and work during three months in any of the ideas proposed
by the project
(http://wiki.apertium.org/wiki/Ideas_for_google_summer_of_code) or
discuss new ideas with project mentors through IRC channel #apertium at
freenode.net, or by subscribing to the list
[email protected].

From April 9 to April 21: discussion of ideas with project developers.
April 22 to May 9: filing of proposals.

I am available for details.

Best,

Mikel Forcada
