Hi Nadhii,
Having worked with Moses for only about 2 Months,
after switching from Joshua, I am hardly an expert yet.
However, I have some suggestions which might help.

Have you installed the package "libboost-all-dev" in the package manager?
It is important that you have also the dev packages of boost, otherwise
compilation fails on that point.
Furthermore I belief you need something called zlib
(in Kubuntu called "zlib1g-dev") to compile certain files.
My experience is mainly based on Kubuntu 12.04, were with GCC, G++, boost and
zlib installed at least the main boost installation (without irstlm) went
without
problems. I don't know if there could be specific issues for this newer
versions
of GCC/G++ and Ubuntu.

I suggest that if you keep having problems perhaps post again with some
more output from the compiler/console, i.e. what files specifically it fails
to compile and what error messages you get, otherwise it might be
hard to help fix your problem based on such a general description.

I hope this helps.
Success and hope you can fix your problems soon!
Kind regards,

Gideon

Subject: [Moses-support] Help on Moses Installation

I have been trying to install moses on ubuntu 12.10 by following the
instructions on the manual. first i have installed both boost 1.52 and gcc-4.7
and i have downloaded and extracted moses tool. The i have been trying to
install it by using the following command:

./bjam --with-irstlm= /home/nadhii/moses/irstlm/

and it is displaying a warning and it is not creating any executable files in
bin directory:

warning: No toolsets are configured.
warning: Configuring default toolset "gcc".

warning: If the default is wrong, your build may not work correctly.
warning: Use the "toolset=xxxxx" option to override our guess.
warning: For more configuration options, please consult
warning: http://boost.org/boost-build2/doc/html/bbv2/advanced/configuration.html

notice: could not find main target /home/nadhii/moses/irstlm/
notice: assuming it is a name of file to create.
...found 1 target...

i have also tried to run bjam toolset=gcc-4.7 and it creates some executable
files in /moses/bin directory, but there is no executable file with a name
moses which i guess is the main decoder.

Please will u tell me the solution for this problem?
