Hi, within the CASMACAT project we have developed a packaged version of Moses with a novel CAT tool that is geared towards individual translators, called the "CASMACAT Home Edition".
You can find some more information about it here: http://www.casmacat.eu/index.php?n=Installation.HomePage It is still a bit rough around the edges, but I'd be eager to assist any effort to try it out. -phi On Thu, Dec 4, 2014 at 7:52 AM, RAUL BARROS <raulbar...@terra.cl> wrote: > Dear Sirs, > > > > I am a translator from Scandinavian languages (public tenders) into Spanish > for several translation agencies and Scandinavian institutions > > > > Normally I have worked in “direct translation”(manual so-to-say) from the > above languages to Spanish > > > > However, some agencies increasingly request proficiency in MT software. > > > > I have tried several of those (Trados, Fluency, etc) and discovered that: > > 1) The linguistic DB they work with is no other tan Google and > Microsoft DB > > 2) These DB are extremely limited with regard to Scandinavian languages > > 3) Their support is equal to null > > 4) In my experience, MT translating is (sofar) SLOWER tan otherwise!! > > > > I need some guidance in this > > Could you recommend or suggest one or several MT software, friendly, fast > and with extensive techical DB accesss? > > > > Thanks in advance > > > > Raúl Barros > > Las Arañas 5805 d.132 > > La Reina – Santiago > > Chile > > CP.: 7850278 > > Tel: +562-2277 7654 > > Cel.: +5699-731 2043 > > raulbar...@terra.cl > > > > > > > > > _______________________________________________ > Mt-list site list > mt-l...@eamt.org > http://lists.eamt.org/mailman/listinfo/mt-list _______________________________________________ Moses-support mailing list Moses-support@mit.edu http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/moses-support
