Hi All After more than 2 years since the last release and lots of new features by many contributors, we have a new release of Moses!
Please see the release notes for all the new features http://www.statmt.org/moses/RELEASE-4.0/Moses-v4.0-release-notes.pdf As usual, the binaries for several operating systems are available for download http://www.statmt.org/moses/RELEASE-4.0/binaries/ We also make available a VirtualBox virtual machine with pre-installed Moses binaries and several training experiments. This could be useful if you are learning to use Moses and to figure out how to run your experuments without the hassle of setting up Moses. http://www.statmt.org/moses/RELEASE-4.0/vm/ All the experiments we used for testing, along with the trained and tuned models are available here: http://www.statmt.org/moses/RELEASE-4.0/models/ A lot has happened in the machine translation community in the last 2 years. The focus of attention and research has moved from statistical MT, as expounded by Moses, to neural MT. Therefore, this is likely to be the last major release of Moses for some time. However, there are still areas where SMT has an advantage over NMT, still much work being done in SMT, and lots of existing Moses installation. I hope this release will serve everyone well into the distance future. Once again, thank you everyone for contributing time and code, and for using Moses. Please email me with any questions, erratas and flames. Hieu Hoang http://moses-smt.org/
