What app do you prefere to see all mjpeg streams in one screen? (Linux GUI
or console or Windows).
Or maybe is it planned some kind of native support from motion package side
for such functionality (view all cams at the same time) ?
Or maybe some 3-party web interface online?
What are your experiences / what could you recommend ?
Best regards
Mariusz

Hello
Have you ever thought about using
https://readthedocs.com/
for your documentation?
Example:
https://hy.readthedocs.org/en/latest/
Cheers,
Y.

Hello again.
Is it possible somehow to record movie from all cameras if motion detected
on one of them ?
And then to play all movies @ one screen to see history, how it was, for
exaple one man is running across four areas protected by four cameras and
you can see all four streams in one screen?
How to play four movies (recorded by four cameras at the same time) and
keep real synchronization between them?
Do someone knows maybe an avi player able to play four movies at the same
time?
Best regards
Mariusz

Hello Yannick,
seems to be a nice place to live...
This picture is a perfect example for the usage of the smart_mask feature.
Simply turn it on and let it work for you. Creating a fixed mask may
indeed be a lot more work, as there is no built-in GUI to accomplish this
task.

Hi J??rg
Yes it does make sense to me, the first sentence in the motion.conf might
be reworded a bit.
As for the smart_mask, I'm not sure under which conditions it works. I have
a table in the center of the screen were I watch birds collecting food.
Plants behind the table and on the sides are a major problem. Here's the
situation:

As it is a bit tricky to create such a mask: Couldn't this feature or
something better be adapted for a matrix-like mask?
Or is there a webinterface to paint a mask on the current image and save
it? (Like in Xemoa, iSpy or other commercial software?)
Cheers,
Yannick

Does that just last a few seconds and then motion operates as it
should? If so then probably you are picking up an initial blank image
or something.

1. What are the best still working settings (framerate/jpg-quality) for the
highest quality video from an HD cam?
I currently have:
# Image width (pixels). Valid range: Camera dependent, default: 352
width 2048
# Image height (pixels). Valid range: Camera dependent, default: 288
height 1536
# Maximum number of frames to be captured per second.
# Valid range: 2-100. Default: 100 (almost no limit).
framerate 8
streamquality is 75
2. Why is the event number in the front of the filenames? (It mixes up
different frames in the browser).
