It looks like I have set myself up for public humiliation! I have no idea how I did this but I appear to have used a second ? in the URL instead of using &. i.e. This does not work: http://192.168.1.133/videostream.cgi?user=admin?pwd=XXXXX This does! http://192.168.1.133/videostream.cgi?user=admin&pwd=XXXXX I?m not sure how I did that. I generally keep old URL?s commented out in my config files. I wonder if I messed those up and uncommented the wrong ones when I had the initial issues with the truncated password. With regards to the truncated password, the latest Foscam firmware ask you to change your password to one using A-Z, 0-1 and between 6-12 characters. If you use more than 12 characters, your password is truncated, WITHOUT ANY WARNING, and the truncated password is stored!
