I can confirm this works great with a Pi 1.
It can just about manage 720p at 2 fps though recording seems to be more
like 1 fps.
Thanks to everyone who has got this going especially Mr-Dave.

Is it possible to use motion as a controller for full rate video?
i.e. run motion in low res mode and then trigger a raspivid script to
record at 1080p or something similar.

The picamera docs indicate that there is support for multiple streams with
some limitations on image capture.

How hard is it to convert deb to rpm?

Has anybody used *alien* or some other way to do this?
http://www.thegeekstuff.com/2010/11/alien-command-examples/

I'm running *Fedora*, if I try to convert a deb package which one I should
try to convert?

Thanks for any replies

Putting together a RPM is not too hard. I recommend looking
at previous Fedora motion SRPMs. Specifically SPRMs are
primarily just the package .tar ball and a .spec text file.
Once you have that SRPM file, you just rpmbuild a regular
RPM file.

Quite a few people would appreciate your efforts on this.
