It can just about manage 720p at 2 fps though recording seems to be more like 1 fps. Thanks to everyone who has got this going especially Mr-Dave. Is it possible to use motion as a controller for full rate video? i.e. run motion in low res mode and then trigger a raspivid script to record at 1080p or something similar. The picamera docs indicate that there is support for multiple streams with some limitations on image capture. http://picamera.readthedocs.io/en/release-1.11/recipes2.html#recording-at-multiple-resolutions On 21 October 2016 at 09:35, tosiara <tosi...@gmail.com> wrote: > (party) > > On Fri, Oct 21, 2016 at 7:05 AM, Mr Dave <motionmrd...@gmail.com> wrote: > >> Motion 4.0 has been released on the github site for those interested. >> https://github.com/Motion-Project/motion/releases/tag/release-4.0 >> >> -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... ------------------------------ Message: 3 Date: Sun, 30 Oct 2016 11:28:58 -0400 From: Harlan Daneker <hdane...@gmail.com> Subject: [Motion-user] Motion Version 4.0 RPM To: Motion discussion list <motion-user@lists.sourceforge.net>, Motion SVN commit messages <motion-de...@lists.sourceforge.net> Message-ID: <CAC1WkiT4FVVcfucY0Eb18CUmEsky3fKiq=2xpgvbn38p_d_...@mail.gmail.com> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="utf-8" How hard is it to convert deb to rpm? Has anybody used *alien* or some other way to do this? http://www.thegeekstuff.com/2010/11/alien-command-examples/ I'm running *Fedora*, if I try to convert a deb package which one I should try to convert? I recommend looking at previous Fedora motion SRPMs. Specifically SPRMs are primarily just the package .tar ball and a .spec text file. Once you have that SRPM file, you just rpmbuild a regular RPM file. Quite a few people would appreciate your efforts on this. -Frank On Sun, 30 Oct 2016, Harlan Daneker wrote: > How hard is it to convert deb to rpm? > > Has anybody used *alien* or some other way to do this? > http://www.thegeekstuff.com/2010/11/alien-command-examples/ > > I'm running *Fedora*, if I try to convert a deb package which one I should > try to convert? > > Thanks for any replies > ------------------------------ Message: 5 Date: Fri, 4 Nov 2016 22:14:28 +0100 From: Riccardo Stronati <r.stron...@gmail.com> Subject: [Motion-user] Motion Version 4.01 process end To: motion-user@lists.sourceforge.net Message-ID: <CABhF65FckEvvyJJLWp2zSojrrRURY-PVQ1=vdsph9m_-i9d...@mail.gmail.com> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="utf-8" Hi, I installed pi_jessie_motion_4.0.1-1_armhf.deb package on my raspberry 3, I set motion as daemon and started via systemctl but after a couple of detection the process die.
