Message-ID: <85203ea9-ecea-f0bc-aab3-ac5c81a38...@gmail.com> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8; format=flowed Hi, i'm gonna use motion for streaming webcam images with a very large view angle, so what I get has a big fisheye effect. Is there any chance to do some preprocessing for the taken images to correct those things? ------------------------------ Message: 2 Date: Tue, 17 Oct 2017 20:58:51 +0100 From: Colin Law <clan...@gmail.com> To: Motion discussion list <motion-user@lists.sourceforge.net> Subject: Re: [Motion-user] any chance for image preprocessing? Then you you would not be wasting processor time adusting images that were just chucked away as there was no motion. Do you mean it is streamed even when there is no motion? If so then there is likely no difference between processing on the way into motion or on the way out. Either way it is not really a motion question I don't think. You have a stream coming in, either from a camera or out of motion, and you want to process it to remove the distortion. You can either do that by processing the stream out of the camera and feeding it to motion, or on the way out of motion before you send it to the web server.
