Total bandwidth *per controller* is the limit, and if you're saturating a single line, adding another would have to go through the same pipe. USB 3.0 is a lot better. The problem with USB 3.0 is that very few single board computers have a USB 3.0 interface; especially the Raspberry Pi's. I know, I checked *all* of them a while ago. With the V2 cameras the automated switch to night mode does not work however.
