I have a Pi3 Model B Rev1.2 I just installed Motion and was able to update it to version 4.1.1. I wanted to update to version 4.2.2 but the package in the repository would not install. Returned an incompatible hardware error. Which package should I try next to update to 4.2.2 or am I stuck at 4.1.1? I tried the pi_stretch_motion_4.2.2-1_armf.deb Prior packages that did work were pi_jessie_motion_4.1.1-1_armf.deb Based on what I saw while viewing all the install/config videos this will be exactly what I need, if I can get it to work Thank you Bob Sent from my iPad ------------------------------ Message: 2 Date: Tue, 26 Feb 2019 19:10:17 -0500 From: BConklin <bconk...@megalink.net> To: Peter Fletcher <pe...@fletchers-uk.com> Cc: motion-user@lists.sourceforge.net Subject: Re: [Motion-user] New User Pi 3 Model B Message-ID: <04553e7b-b0ea-4cec-8fa1-11359dbda...@megalink.net> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Thank you for the information Peter, I have no good reason not to update the OS on the Pi. I just unpacked the unit and Jessie is what came loaded on it. I will look into the process you mention. Based on your response I am guessing that 4.1.1 is as far as I can go.
