Dear M. Dave,

It seems I don't have any MHD or libmicrohttpd on my distrib (NAS Asustor).

Hi Rob,

Appreciate the input. Perhaps its because I wasn't running IE, just
assumed web browser(firefox, chrome etc) was all that was needed. I had
the camera direct utp into the laptop, no switch/hub.

So ill have to get up 2 speed on virtual machines, wireshark and nmap.

I did consider the SD card would wear but thought if it was motion
activated it would get me out of trouble for now. I agree tho not good.

While I get up 2 speed I have another use that you might have thoughts on.

I play in a local band. We currently have a projector for images and fx.
I some times run it with VLC. What we would like(thought would be fun)
is to have a bunch of cameras around the stage and switch it thru to the
projector. (video mixers n such are wicked cost). So 6 say, cameras come
into a utp hub/switch, and "something" selects which one or what video
in the playlist, goes to the projector(which is run from the laptops vga
monitor plug). We dont have sound or lighting techs(im it and Im on
stage playing bass) so "the show",lighting etc is mostly automated via
midi/QLC+ on a linux laptop. But for now lets just get video up and
worry about how to remote switch it later..Im just wondering if I can
utilise motion somehow or if you have any other ideas? Or if the
mountain is too high :)
