Subject: [Motion-user] Audio with rtsp://...

I know this topic has been kicked around, and some posts suggested or
perhaps my wishful thinking lead me to believe that with rtsp support,
we'd get the natural audio support therein.

I have rtsp working, and am using netcam_url rtsp://..., and the rtsp
stream _does_ have audio embedded in it, and I know this because I can
connect to it via VLC and get the full audio. But when "motion" saves
the files generated from the rtsp, they are without audio.

Is this a known issue? I would have expected that the audio packets in
the rtsp stream are passed-through unmolested as the motion files are
saved, but either I'm misunderstanding the audio support in motion for
rtsp, have something mis-configured, the support isn't there yet, or the
audio packets are getting filtered.

Could someone please comment?

Thank You...
