Today's Topics: 1. target_dir per camera and snapshots (Jake Stride) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Message: 1 Date: Sat, 21 Sep 2019 05:58:26 +0800 From: Jake Stride <j...@stride.me.uk> To: Motion discussion list <motion-user@lists.sourceforge.net> Subject: [Motion-user] target_dir per camera and snapshots Message-ID: <caoo87zm_1azzlqcku9zwtzmc3bzg9qwyp26csof8yure8at...@mail.gmail.com> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="utf-8" I save my movies etc. into a subdirectory for each camera using %$. I've just starting using webcontrol to save a snapshot however the lastsnap.jpg symlink is the target_dir folder (/var/lib/motion). This would appear to be doing what the docs say but if I try to change target_dir to include %$ it doesn't substitute that for the camera I want. Is there a way to get the symlink in the same dir as the snapshots? In my setup: target_dir /var/lib/motion snapshot_filename %$/%Y%m%d%H%M%S-snapshot Thanks Jake -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... ------------------------------ ------------------------------ Subject: Digest Footer _______________________________________________ Motion-user mailing list Motion-user@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/motion-user ------------------------------ End of Motion-user Digest, Vol 159, Issue 17 ********************************************
