are all simultaneous shown ?

---------

possible solution to simultaneous connection limit not requiring a
browser change could be:

without having to use the unconsolidated (where each camera has a
separate control port)...

need way to consolidate to port amount limit (so no browser changes are
required)

so say one has 14 cameras ... with default firefox setting (6
simultaneous persistent connections) would
required at least 3 different ports
could have something like this with ids? specified for a given group and
also what is their control port
6 cameras ids 1001-1006 could be on port 8081
6 cameras ids 2001-2006 could be on port 8082
2 cameras ids 3001-3002 could be on port 8083
and think should be able to use '0' indicating to? apply config setting
to all cams on all ports or show 'all cameras' on default generated webpage
as well as being able to disable any by setting stream_port to 0 within
a given camera conf file

I have an i7 PC that runs motion and also runs a number of virtual machines, so
I do have CPU power to spare.

The thumbnail HTML source for the motion summary page on my machine is:

<a href=http://<ipaddr>:8181> <img src=http://<ipaddr>:8181/ border=0
width=25%></a>
<a href=http://<ipaddr>:8182> <img src=http://<ipaddr>:8182/ border=0
width=25%></a>
<a href=http://<ipaddr>:8183> <img src=http://<ipaddr>:8183/ border=0
width=25%></a>
<a href=http://<ipaddr>:8184> <img src=http://<ipaddr>:8184/ border=0
width=25%></a>
<a href=http://<ipaddr>:8185> <img src=http://<ipaddr>:8185/ border=0
width=25%></a>
<a href=http://<ipaddr>:8186> <img src=http://<ipaddr>:8186/ border=0
width=25%></a>
<a href=http://<ipaddr>:8187> <img src=http://<ipaddr>:8187/ border=0
width=25%></a>
<a href=http://<ipaddr>:8188> <img src=http://<ipaddr>:8188/ border=0
width=25%></a>
<a href=http://<ipaddr>:8189> <img src=http://<ipaddr>:8189/ border=0
width=25%></a>

And they all display/update at the same time.

Does anyone have the same code snippet from the same page on a motion 4.2
release?

default page

I haven't tried opening more than 6 cameras in individual streams, which sounds
like you're doing, then displaying all of them on a single page. I've found the
system resources on the motion capture machine pegs at max when I have more
than a few streams open, so I just use the summary page, then open individual
streams from there if there's something interesting to look at. Usually I use
that page just to make sure all the cameras are still up (I need to reset
something almost every other day).

PerhapsMotion 4.2 and lateradopted the model you have in 4.0, and that's why I
can't see more than 6 cameras on that page. I thought I read somewhere in the
release notes they changed the web server source to something different in 4.2,
and figured that's what broke it.

Yes. I can send you a screenshot directly, as I think the list may suppress
this
