i'm interested in the conversion specifiers having to do with center of 
motion,

it appears they are zero unless motion is detected ... is it possible we 
could

have code modification that would give indication the largest cluster of 
pixels which are

still below motion threshold by filling in the "X" and "Y" normally for 
center of motion?

resorting to a much lower threshold and using mask files is [very] far 
from ideal ...

Thanks for your response. I see currently approx. 20% CPU load of a single 
core for 4 cams (Intel E3-1225 v3). It seems there is a mjpeg stream though:

Sub-stream: H.265/H.264/MJPEG 

The plus for the Hikvision device for me is the compatibility to the Hikvision 
DS-1280ZJ-XS junction box.

I think the open question is if these streams are accessible through motion.
