Maybe you could try to create an RTSP stream from your device using
ffserver and then try to open port forward?

What settings can be used in the conf file that would allow for low
light sensitivity for capturing night time star motion time lapse?

I am currently using a Logic Tech C270 usb cam, what considerations for
the specs for the type of usb cam that should be used?

Thanks in advance.
