Hi

Can the destination of where to store pictures and video files use scp
to store on another computer

If so what would be the syntax to do it on the destination line in
motion.conf

Not sure about that; my solution was to store the files locally, and
then use the on_movie_end configuration option to run a simple bash
script that uses rsync to copy the files to another machine. A periodic
cron job removes old files on the camera machine. This approach is
tolerant of intermittent network outages, etc., since rsync is just
syncing the target_dir on the camera machine to a directory on another
machine.

Thanks Jack

I'll look in to that
