Generally you just need a camera that provides a stream via RTSP.? Before purchasing, you can also do an additional search to see if any other users have posted the RTSP connection string for the camera online. (Or reported that the camera does not have any such capability) https://motion-project.github.io/motion_config.html#basic_setup_network On 12/18/2020 7:09 AM, Richard Bown wrote: > Has anyone any experience of Vivotek or Sony bullet IP Cams > > I've had to remove the Tenvis cam I was using, as it was radiating > badly between 50 and 75 MHz broadband noise > > So I'm looking for a replacement that's motion compatible > > The compatibility list hasn't been updated for a long time :( > > > ------------------------------ Message: 3 Date: Sat, 19 Dec 2020 21:56:15 -0700 From: MrDave <motionmrd...@gmail.com> To: motion-user@lists.sourceforge.net Subject: Re: [Motion-user] v4l2_palette Message-ID: <5b9882d7-9541-1f2e-ec07-8183ce8eb...@gmail.com> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="utf-8"; Format="flowed" The only functionality for changing the stream color is using the stream_grey option and that is just turning the image to B&W. There are not any options for skewed colors. I'd recommend that you try to save as pictures (`picture_output on`? and `picture_type jpeg`) and it will help identify the source of the problem. If the saved pictures look OK, then it is something with the browser or possibly the network.? You could try to change stream_quality to a higher or lower number and see if that changes the resulting images. If the pictures saved do not look OK, then it something with the JPG library installed on the system.? Make sure system is updated and if it is, post details back on the details of the system (distro, version, etc.) On 12/19/2020 10:41 AM, Admin Account wrote: > I found where the?video stream was saved to and the video was normal. > How do I change the stream color? > Thanks! > > > _______________________________________________ > Motion-user mailing list > Motion-user@lists.sourceforge.net > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/motion-user > https://motion-project.github.io/ > > Unsubscribe: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/options/motion-user -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... ------------------------------ ------------------------------ Subject: Digest Footer _______________________________________________ Motion-user mailing list Motion-user@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/motion-user ------------------------------ End of Motion-user Digest, Vol 174, Issue 4 *******************************************
