'sounds like your cam has built in auto-exposure so

motion's auto_brightness is not for you. You could

investigate what is possible with vid_control_params

for your device - see log output with motion -d 7

for what might be available.

I have a small camera from Pimoroni on my Pi zero W so it might not be the
same.

I have auto-brightness off like you but have brightness set to 127. You
have 0.

Hi Alan,
i'll tried that setting too, mostly resulting in too bright images, but
I'll give it a try again!

Hi Chuck,
i increased the log level to INF to get that output, but all i got was this:

It is not looking like the output mentioned in the motion documentation.
Can't say what to do with these informations. Any suggestion?

Markus
