Hi all,

I recently opened an issue on MotionEyeOs asking for simple setup
instructions to enable movie_passthrough to record an 'un touched' movie
stream directly from camera onto Raspberry Pi storage using a standard
Raspberry Pi Camera Module.
https://github.com/ccrisan/motioneyeos/issues/2739#issuecomment-850638275

It would appear that it's not so simple and I was wondering if I could get
some help. Perhaps you guys can tell me how close Motion is to allowing this
to take place? The Raspberry Pi seems like a kick-ass bit of hardware with
the capability of doing this but despite looking for a very long time, I
can't see any clear instructions for this. If anyone can help me do it, I
will try and document it for others. I'm thinking this must have been done
before, so any clear "how-to's" may answer all my questions and I would
appreciate the links.

I am a full time Linux developer but don't have much experience with CCTV
and video (or devices really). Sorry. I have managed to download the source
and compile on Raspberry Pi's which I'm truly amazed at how easy it was, a
tribute to the Motion Project community!! Thank You!!

Attached is my motion.conf file and a capture of my output (Unix LF only
format).

Any help greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks!

Greg
