The system started doing a freeze frame thing where it pauses on the frame that triggered the event, then after the pause it jumps forward a few seconds, which skips a few seconds worth of recordings. Any ideas on how to stop this? I checked the log file and don't see anything that stands out in the events. Thanks, Ron -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... ------------------------------ Message: 2 Date: Thu, 6 Jan 2022 09:22:49 +0200 From: tosiara <tosi...@gmail.com> To: Motion discussion list <motion-user@lists.sourceforge.net> Subject: Re: [Motion-user] Freeze Frames During Recording Message-ID: <CACHTdwSuSdvJb2f5GAEYkuE-Zf_i5Da5RSVW=ducpltrg5w...@mail.gmail.com> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="utf-8" could you produce a sample log with -d 9 and also send a corresponding video recording with freeze? you can encrypt the video for me if it is too private: https://github.com/Motion-Project/motion/wiki/Privacy On Thu, Jan 6, 2022 at 3:33 AM Ronnie McMaster <ronnie.mcmas...@gmail.com> wrote: > Howdy, > > I am using Motion 4.4.0-1 on a Manjaro system. Does a situation with record skipping that you?ve described looks like it records like 1 fps or even worse? If so it reminds me my problem with recording from topic I started a month ago. > The problem: if there any small changes in frames (little moving object) then > record is fine, but if something is more than 5% of space that is being > recorded then I get 1 fps or even worse (1 fp few seconds) in recording and a > lot of glitches (pixel puzzle, gray regions). > 6 ???. 2022 ?., ? 04:36, Ronnie McMaster <ronnie.mcmas...@gmail.com> > ???????(?): > > Howdy, > > I am using Motion 4.4.0-1 on a Manjaro system.
