If using Arch, then you're on version 4.4*, which as Rob said, only
supports 6 cameras. Other LTS distros are running older versions. If you
have more than one server, then you can easily create an HTML hosting as
many cams as you want.

There is no "browser setting" in Chromium that will change your Motion
application's capabilities.
