Hi!
This goes with my post at
https://sourceforge.net/p/motion/mailman/message/58716014/? but I
couldn't figure out how to reply/update/edit so doing it this way.
Did figure out a way to get the full 16:9 (1280x720) resolution: in
/etc/motion/camera1.conf add the line video_params palette=8? which?
tells something to use MJPG.? The chart listing formats is at
https://motion-project.github.io/4.6.0/motion_config.html#palette ,
which this parameter has been moved to be a part of the video_params
section, though I'll admit it took me a while to figure how to put the
two options together.
As for why one camera worked properly immediately and the others did
not: 'lsusb' and there's an ID code (xxxx:yyyy).? My cameras all have
the same vendor code but the camera that worked had a different device
code from the ones that did not.? Unfortunately the ID code didn't tell
me a fix but did hint as to why one worked properly and the others
didn't quite.? So did motion.log, just took me a while to figure out the
command line.
