The mountain bluebird found by Erika in Kandiyohi co. was seen yesterday until about sunset, by myself, and was seen again this morning (Fri.) at 7:00 a.m. by Ron Erpelding.
If you are coming from the east, after mile marker 81 there is an Adopt a Highway sign "Jenie O Foods" as a good landmark. Start looking here and along the wires (N. side of road) for the next half mile or so. This is right on highway 12 and there is considerable car and truck traffic, but the bird didn't seem to mind as it was actively feeding. Coming from the west, after going through the city of Kandiyohi, look for mile marker 80. Start checking the wires a few hundred yards past this mile marker. Randy Frederickson Willmar
