Today, while driving on Hwy 169, between MM180 and MM200 (south of Mil
Lacs), I came across what I'm quite sure was a Chukar feeding along the
roadside. I turned around and got a good look at it from the vehicle as
well as a picture. When I first saw it, I thought it must have been a
Bobwhite, but a closer look showed otherwise, although my eastern field
guide didn't have it. I just checked enature.com now and realized it
was a Chukar. Would this just be an escape from a game farm?
