Two birds were in a previously flooded hay field that has now mostly dried out. Close to Litchfield in Litchfield township. From Highway 12 on the north side of Litchfield go west on 11th Street (opposite State Highway 24 that goes east), this turns into county Road 11, go 4 miles and take a left on 580th Ave., go south 2 miles and turn left on 250th St. In 1/2 mile the field is on your left. Also present are 5 other species of shorebirds. Not a lot of birds in total. My first Am. Pipit of the fall is also on the field. A scope will be necessary.
Better shorebirding is Beaver Dam Lake, on Highway 12 at the Meeker/Wright border. Although again not a lot of birds but at least 10 species. Dennis Martin [email protected]
