Sunday, I headed up to Duluth & the North Shore birding with Rick Schroeder. Visability at times was muted by the fog, but birding was rewarding. Birds seen included:
White-winged Scoter (7 on the harbor at the bus turn out on Park Point; 1 under the docks at the marina at Knife River Black Scoter (1 with the 7 WWS) Harlequin Duck (French River) Bohemian Waxwings (~20 Knife River) Pine Grosbeaks (same place) Am. Pipit (on the lake beach at Park Point) Snow Buntings ( 4 near the Pipit & 1 at Brighton Beach Tundra Swans (2 Duluth Harbor) C.
