This afternoon I found a Hoary Redpoll in a flock of about 30 Common Redpolls along Lake Superior at the mouth of the Stewart River. This is about 2 miles up Highway 61 from Two Harbors (just past Betty's Pies).
There was also a flock of 7 late Horned Grebes out on the lake at the same spot. Jim Lind Two Harbors
