We were amazed to see 6 Willets on our lake shore Saturday afternoon. They must have been disoriented by the dense fog earlier in the day. Best of all -- they were a new bird for our yard list (#198)! Migration is very slow so far, although we did have Yellow rumps, Palms, Nashvilles, Ovenbirds, Black-throated Green, and Blackburnian warblers, as well as Solitary Vireo, Hummingbirds and a Rose-breasted Grosbeak.
