Found 4 Buff-breasted Sandpipers and 8 American Golden-Plovers on a sod farm in Chisago County today. Go north from North Branch on 30 about 1 mile to 400th and east about 2 1/2 miles to the sod field being irrigated and partially harvested. They easily could move around to any of the many other fields but with the dryness look for irrigation.
Also found 12 American Golden-Plovers in Anoka County. From Lexington (Cty 17) go east on Cty 14 to the large sod farms. Generally the area where the Long-billed Curlew was but the current field now is further west. Dennis and Barbara Martin [email protected]
