Hey birders! Seeing the post about Yellow-rumped Warbler, I rememberd to report that the Yellow-rump that was located on the Mankato CBC is still toughing it out at Minneopa State Park. I was able to get out a bit on Sunday.
There are possibly two birds present (or it flies to the river and back with the flock of 100+ robins and Cedar Waxwings that are overwintering there too). I found one bird below the bluff where a small creek is supplying open water. An additional (same) bird was seen in the junipers along the main road in the park. Also seen at Minneopa State Park: Rough-legged Hawk, Red-tailed Hawk, Bald Eagle, and Northern Flicker (again, in with the robins) Happy Birding!
