Birded CR 18 in Aitkin county as well as 5 and Pietz's. I had to do most of my birding from my vehicle because I had my young son with, so consequently I didn't see much--no owls. I did see 3 Northern Shrikes next to the road between Hwy 169 and Pietz's, so the day wasn't a total skunk.
