This afternoon while Leslie Marcus and I were birding at the Bass Ponds we had
the unexpected pleasure of seeing a Marsh Wren. The soft cheks caught my
attention, and we watched it pop and down in the cattails perching long enough
to investigate us with repeated chattering. We could see that distinctive
black triangle on its upperback streaked white when it flew back and forth.
