We sighted a Snowy Owl about 5 miles south of Lake City on Highway 63 on Friday December 19th.
Last year we also saw a Snowy along County Road 4 just south of 10,outside Lake City, as it sat on a pole, I was able to walk right up to it and take some pictures, It looked own at me, blinked and turned its head around and ignored me! I couldn't believe how close I got! My husband who drives that road frequently saw that one or another several times that year. This looks to be another good year for Snowy sightings just south of Lake city. Nancy Nielson Lake City
