Update: The two whooping Cranes have returned to the location described in yesterday's RVA.
The cranes are in Meeker County about eight miles north of Litchfield along state highway 22 at its junction with 360th street. This is a T intersection with 360th street approaching from the west. The birds are in the stubble field to the east. At this point it is not known if these birds were from the release flock in Wisconsin or if they were wild birds migrating north from Texas. -- Anthony X. Hertzel -- [email protected]
