A Snowy Egret is hanging out in central Otter Tail County across the road from a WPA 1.25 miles east of the town of Underwood on County Road 122. While there is water on both sides of the road, the favored spot seems to be the little wetland on the north side of the road where there are tangled tree roots and stumps. Watch for traffic -- there is only a narrow shoulder.
The bird was first spotted by Eddy and Judy Edwards. Other notable birds in our yard today were Orange-crowned Warblers and White-throated Sparrows. -- Dan & Sandy Thimgan Battle Lake, MN Otter Tail County
