Mike Hendrickson called to report another juvenile Sabine's Gull in Duluth today. It was on the lake side of Park Point and was observed from the wooden platform between the Recreation Area and the airport buildings at Park Point at about 10:00 A.M. The winds are currently from the east at 12 mph. In addition to the Sabine's Gull, Mike reported a total of 200+ Common Terns and several small flocks of Bonaparte's Gulls. A small unidentified loon (Pacific or Red- throated) also flew by ane headed towards Wisconsin Point. Conditions are predicted to remain similar for the rest of today, and the chance for another rare species of gull, Arctic Tern, or jaegers appear to be better than average.
