Sharon and I found a Nelson's Sharp-tailed Sparrow near the Taconite
Harbor boat launch in southern Cook County on Saturday afternoon.
The bird was at the eastern edge of the large grassy field along
Highway 61, near a pile of railroad ties. There was also a LeConte's
Sparrow in the same area. We found another LeConte's Sparrow in the
fields at the Spruce Creek ponds, which are about 3 miles east of the
town of Lutsen.
