A Northern Hawk Owl showed up near Deep Portage Learning Center on 10/29. The bird stuck around for a while, allowing for some great looks. Deep Portage is located between Hackensack and Longville on the shores of Big Deep Lake. The bird was located in a clearcut aspen stand near the main lodge and cooperated for some great close-up looks.
