There is a first year male Summer Tanager coming to a feeder at Diane and John Framstead's residence at 1411 20th St NE. This is NE of Byron and west of the landfill where the reservoirs are located. The easiest way to get to the house is by turning west on 20th from Cty 3. The house is on the north side of the road. The tanager is coming quite regularly to a suet feeder on the north side of the house and it apparently stays at the feeder for extended periods of time. The bird was singing this morning as well. It is best to park near the field drive on the west side of the house and look east to be able to see the feeders. You shouldn't need to enter the property to see the bird. Diane is a very friendly person and happy to share the bird.
