Early this morning at Wood Lake Nature Center in Richfield, Hennepin County was
like attending a great outdoors concert with a multitude of robust singers!
Leslie Marcus and I enjoyed 13 species of singing Warblers the Northern Parula,
and American Redstart our newest arrivals. There were many Swainson's Thrush
throughout the park, and we got nice looks at two Gray-cheeked Thrush. We saw
6 Least Flycatchers singing, and one Great Crested Flycatcher. The Gray
Catbirds, Brown Thrasher, Baltimore Oriole's, Rose-breasted Grosbeak,
Blue-headed and Warbling Vireo's were also singing. There were Harris's, and a
Clay-colored Sparrows, as well as the regulars.
