At about 4:00 this afternoon there was an American Avocet in the wetland behind the dunes at the Flood Bay wayside rest, one mile up Highway 61 from Two Harbors. Unfortunately it couldn't be relocated about an hour later.
A Northern Mockingbird was also seen at the edge of the same wetland, and it was still there as of 5:30 or so. Also present was a Solitary Sandpiper and a Lesser Yellowlegs. Jim Lind Two Harbors
