The immature Snowy Owl was present at the airport this morning at about 11:15. It wasn't on any buildings, but was sitting on a snowbank near the building it had been seen on top of. Without a scope or good binoculars, it would be difficult to identify from the building through the glass as more than a dirty snowbank unless it moves its head. But a thorough scan from the observation lounge should still provide at least a peek. If you aren't planning to spend more than a few minutes studying it, you can park in the short-term parking, which is one dollar for 30 minutes. If you want to spend time photographing it, go to the longer term parking lot, which isn't much farther and is cheaper per hour.

There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature--the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after the winter. --Rachel Carson
