Today on the Minnesota Birding Weekend, Northern Hawk-Owl just before Mile Marker 76 on Hwy 61 on the lake side of the highway. Seen around 2:45pm
Great Grey Owl on Onion River Rd at Mile post 260 about 1.5mi up from Hwy61. Seen around 3:45pm 4 Long Tailed Ducks, 1 Surf Scoter and 1 White-winged Scoter at Good Harbor Bay around 4:30pm. Tons of migrating Pine Siskins and Common Redpolls all along Hwy 61, a few groups of White-winged Crossbills, 1 group of 5 or 6 Pine Grosbeaks.
