The first winter Great Black-backed Gull Jim Mattsson reported from Black Dog was again at the east end of the east pond on 24 Dec at 4:15 PM. If you go to look for it, be forewarned that all the gulls are rather skittish, with all the eagles around. You may only find them in flight.
