For the second time this month, I have observed a Sharp-shinned Hawk near one of my bird feeders. It was an adult, and didn't seem very interested in the chickadees and redpolls that were visiting the feeder: in fact at one point, it turned its back to them. Very odd for me here in Cook County to see a Sharpie in December, with snow falling.
