Migrant waterfowl observed along Pool 8 of the UMR on Saturday, March 5 included American Black Ducks, American Wigeon, Gadwalls, Hooded Mergansers, Common Mergansers, Common Goldeneyes, Mallards, and Canada Geese. Sandhill Cranes were noted along the west side of Hwy 26 south of Reno. Also, Great Blue Herons have returned.
